Do you have a covid safe plan when restrictions are lifted?
Yes, we are following government guidelines and advice. We will enforce the following protocols when our doors are open;
1. Ensure physical distancing
All people in the workplace must be 1.5m apart and there should be no overcrowded areas. This means:
Ensure staff and customers are 1.5m apart at all times. Where this is not possible, the duration
of the close contact should be minimised
Ensure the workplace abides by the four square metre rule density quotient
Limit the total number of staff and customers in an enclosed area
2. Wear a face covering
Staff will wear a face covering throughout the shift
Staff will not take face coverings off when talking on the phone or with others
Staff and customers must wear a face covering in the workplace, except, exercising or where health or other exemptions apply.
3. Practise good hygiene
Staff will regularly clean high touch-surfaces and encourage good hygiene practices by staff and customers. This means:
Schedule regular cleaning and disinfecting of high-touch surfaces (including all surfaces and equipment) and make gloves available for this purpose
Encourage regular handwashing by staff and customers and make soap and hand sanitiser available for all staff and customers throughout the workplace
4. Keep records and act quickly if staff become unwell
Have a strict policy that any staff or customer who feel unwell must stay at home. This means:
Have a plan to immediately close down for cleaning and contact tracing if there is a coronavirus
Keep records of staff and customer details for contact tracing
Support staff to stay home and get tested even if they only have mild symptoms.
Will the gym close over the 6 week lockdown?
Yes, on Sunday 2nd August 2020 Dan Andrews announced that as of midnight Wednesday 5th August 2020 we will unfortunately have close due to stage 3 lockdown for a minimum six week period. Please stay home and do the right thing!
When will you reopen?
We will reopen when an offical announcement is made by our government. We will following the government guidelines.
Do I have to contact the gym to put my membership on hold?
No, we will put all memberships on hold Wednesday 5th August 2020. We will ensure al memberships are up to date before they are put on hold. A staff member will contact you if further payments are to be made beyond Wednesday the 5th August.
Will I get a refund for my initial join up payment?
We will be putting all memberships on hold on Wednesday 5th August 2020, won’t be refunding anyone’s initial join up payment, instead we will credit anyone’s membership for when we reopen.
I pay monthly/ fortnightly will I get refunded for the rest of the month?
We will be putting all memberships on hold on Wednesday 5th August 2020, when we reopen and you reactivate your membership, your existing payments will be taken into account so you pay no extra.
Will my membership automatically start when restrictions get lifted?
No, we will contact all members individually prior to opening to gain permission to reactivate your membership. You will no be obligated to rejoin, we will give you the choice to; reactivate, stay on hold or cancel your membership, as we understand peoples circumstances may change over this time.
Can I borrow equipment?
Yes! All equipment will be able to be hired but must be picked up between 8pm-9pm Wednesday 5th August 2020.
Are you doing an online program?
Yes, we are running a 6 week program via a private Instagram account. You must sign up before Wednesday 5th of August as we will hire equipment out as a part of the package. Equipment includes:
1x platform + 4 rises, 1 bar + 4 weights, 1x medicine ball, 1x skipping rope, 1x kettle bell.
